My Story

A born and bred Canadian, Clyde hails from Vancouver and has travelled across Canada on several occasions. He is equally comfortable as part of a raucous hockey crowd, attending a theatrical event in a large Canadian city, browsing in an independent bookstore in a smaller community, or quaffing a Canadian beer in a dockside bar. His first job was working in a hockey rink, his next one teaching Canadian history. This latter position was followed by stints as a school counsellor, principal, and eventually Superintendent (CEO) of Schools.

In the recently released Growing Up Canadian Clyde has revisited his interest in popular history and pop culture. He is a bona fide member of the generation that came of age in the 1960s and 1970s.

He lives on Vancouver Island with his wife and cat and spends considerable time in Vancouver and Maui.
